Resolved Question: What is unique or different about you?

1. Even though I'm thirteen, I STILL don't have a cell phone, Facebook account, or my own room. And none of that actually bothers me. 2. I absolutely love hiking and backpacking, and I am going to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia when I'm fifteen. 3. I actually told you all this, even though most of you are blood-thirsty stalkers. What about you guys?? ;)

Open Question: Boyfriend coming home after being gone for 4 months and I'm nervous he's changed?

My boyfriend and I have been doing long distance for 4 months because he's been in Tokyo (literally other side of the world from me) on an amazing internship. Our long distance relationship was good. Thanks to Skype we got to talk 3-4 times a week and were great. Our relationship is strong because we've been dating for 2 years and have a lot of love and trust for eachother. He's been loving Tokyo and having an amazing time. He's made great friends and loves the people and culture there. His last 3 weeks there he's backpacking so he's having even more fun, and every time I talk to him he says he's never been happier and is in the best place of his life. I'm SO happy for him and proud of him. However, he comes home in 4 days and I'm starting to get a little...nervous or something. I dunno. I thought I'd be excited but I'm actually worried. I'm afraid he's going to be different, and based on how much fun he's been having I'm afraid he's going to think coming back to me is..boring or something. I mean, I've never really been anywhere and I go to school full time. I don't have many adventurous stories to talk about or anything. Is this normal? How do I treat the situation? I know he loves me but I'm legitimately so nervous he's going to come back and suddenly realize how boring I am compared to all the cool people and the cool things he did this summer.

Open Question: Is it wrong to steal?

When I was in high school me and my friends used to constantly do what we called dining and dashing at dennys and other similar type restaurants, also when I was younger we used to food and all kinds of other things from grocery stores. I however don't engage in any of those behaviours anymore. I am now in college and on Monday this week i accidentaly bought the wrong book for my introduction to Philosophy class and when I went to return it i got the other book for the class that i needed, I waited in the line with both books in my hand and it was really busy. When the girl called me to come up I gave her my reciept and asked to return it and she said i'd have to come back the next day because it was too busy and i forgot to have her ring up the other book and just walked out with both books. I didn't even notice i had stolen it until i had walked about 20 feet out of the store. I even walked up to the kid at the front where they hold your backpack so you can' put stuff in there. After I realized i stole it i felt kinda good because it was so sly I didn't even know I stole the book. The book I stole is The Death of Socrates by Plato and when I started reading it what there talking about is basically about morals and ethics and doing the right thing. The first part is all about how Euphythro is prosecuting his own father for murdering someone who did terrible things. I felt kind of guilty after that, but after that I stopped feeling bad because Plato's been dead for over 2,000 years and isn't going to see a penny off me purchasing his book. They also over charge on those textbooks outrageously. So should I feel bad for stealing or should i feel good for sticking it to the man?

Open Question: What can I bring to school for lunch?

I'm in 10th grade. My school doesn't have microwaves so I can't bring anything that needs to be heated up. Also it has to be out of refrigeration for slightly over 4 hours. I usually bring junk like ritz, but I definetly need something more filling. I have a thing about people watching me eat so I would prefer something I can put in my jacket pocket and kind of sneak it, but I can learn to get over it. Also we don't have lockers, I need to keep everything in my backpack, so how bout something that will still be the same even if it gets smashed. :)
